Deep Button Toy Box

This cute little toy box was upholstered using modern upholstery techniques and covered in two Designers Guild basket weave fabrics. The fabrics use two tones of calming blue to create a subtle contrast in colour and texture, these were applied thought out the interior and exterior of the box, including the covered buttons. A tassel was dip dyed and used as an opening device for the box. The dye was chosen to match the blue to be in keeping with the rest of the box. To complement the weaved style of the box, a blanket stitch was added as a decorative element on the corners of the box.
