Ercol Armchair

This Ercol armchair is a classic mid-century design icon. The chair required a new box cushion. The cushion fabrics were chosen to match two arm chairs recently upholstered in charcoal grey Designers Guild geometric moquette. Taking into consideration the shape of the cushion I decided the geometric design might not complement the curved shape of the cushion, so I decided the use the geometric fabric on the pipping only, this emphasised the shape without working against it. I made a square scatter cushion to add a little comfort and a splash of colour.
